I have a page with a list of hyperlinks to go to specific pages. This list page is loaded up into an iframe of another application. The html/css is as below:

 <iframe src="[some_url]" style="width:100%;height:100%;overflow-y:auto;-webkit-overflow-scrolling:touch"></iframe>

As per other questions on this site, in order for scrolling to work in iframes in an iPad, one needs to add overflow-y:auto;-webkit-overflow-scrolling:touch

Perhaps as an unintended consequence of this, or some other cause, scrolling down on the page in the iframe and tapping on one of the links will cause a scroll to the top to occur, and then a tap on the corresponding position on the screen occur after the scroll. This results often in the wrong list item being selected.

How does one stop this scrolling from occuring? Why does it occur in the first place?
